Chatelaine Report – September 2018
Since Pennsic, we have welcomed a couple newcomers to the Barony, along with helping some of our more established newcomers find their niche in the society. It seems our newcomers recently have been both of the creative and martial sort – we have gained both dedicated fighters as well as artists.
Mistress Philadelphia has informed me that a budget has existed for several years to be used for new Gold Key construction. I plan on sifting through the current Gold Key for pieces that can leave the collection, and would love assistance making some new items. We are particularly low on women’s garb and simple pieces – tunics, skirts, pants, etc. If anyone would like to help in the planning or construction of new garb, please let me know.
In addition to new garb, I would like to create an event board to be displayed next to the troll table at events. If anyone attended Ducal Challenge in the Barony of Settmour Swamp, you would have seen this green board, which listed everything happening that day. Along with the schedule, a dayboard menu, and a brochure for newcomers, pictures of the autocrat, dayboard coordinator, and chatelaine were posted, making it easier for guests to find these people if needed. I plan to have this board completed before Yule.
