Events

Champions and Commons, Bhakail Yule, and Tavern 2026

Bids are sought for these upcoming events! Yule is tentatively scheduled for December 13, 2025. The German Society is beginning renovations and a new kitchen will be available for use during Yule.

Old Business

Officer Positions, MoAS and Social Media Deputy

Last month, Scolastica Capellaria communicated her intent to step down as MoAS and would like to take the position of Social Media Deputy. Concurrently, Dillena o’r Gwyrddol communicated her intent to step down as Social Media Deputy and would like to take the position of MoAS. No additional letters of intent have been received. Votes were held, and Scolastica Capellaria was elected Social Media Deputy and Dillena o’r Gwyrddol was elected MoAS.

Chronicler

Letter of intent are still sought for Chronicler or Deputy Chronicler.

Bhakail Sheet Wall for East Kingdom Royal Encampment at Pennsic

Discussion was held about a work party to create a new Bhakail sheet wall.

Minister of Arts & Sciences – Honorable Lady Scolastica Capellaria

We had a fantastic Waking of the Salamander in April complete with an artisans village. There were fiber arts, glass beads and bardic performances!

If you are interested in teaching a class, holding an A&S night, or other A&S related activity, please contact me!

There are A&S opportunities at the following local events:

• May 16-18: Tournament of the Springing Doe, Shire of Caer Adamant (Denton MD). A&S Competition, arts and science display, bardic contest, and dancing!
• May 17, 2025: Lions End Schola: Pride of Lions, Canton of Lions End (Glen Cove, NY). A Day of A&S Classes and A&S Competition.
• May 23-26: Quest for Wit and Wisdom, Barony of Settmour Swamp (Pittstown NJ). A weekend of questing and learning about Celtic history and Lore.
• May 30-June1: Southern Region War Camp and East Kingdom Archery Championship. Includes arts and science competition, guild meetings and more!
•  June 21: Buckland Cross A&S and Bardic Championship (Langhorne, PA). The Barony’s A&S and bardic championships!
• July 12: May-be (I’ll try something new) Barony of Iron Bog (Pilesgrove, NJ). A variety of arts and sciences and martial activities for exploration.
• August 23: C is for Creative, Shire of Eisental (Nazareth PA). Classes on aspects of the SCA including  trying new arts and science!
