June 2025 Business Meeting Notes

Events
Champions and Commons
Mikai and Ezra are finalizing a bid. The date will be September 14, and pavilion 17 at Ridley Creek State Park has been reserved. The event will be similar to the last few years, but they are hoping to also put together an arts area. Mikael is also considering doing a baronial regalia display. They will be looking for volunteers to staff the event closer to the date.
Baronial archery and thrown weapons championships
The baron has requested that the championships be held during the baronial practices held on Sundays. The target date is three weeks before commons, Sunday July 24. Stay tuned for more information from the current champions.
Bhakail Yule
A bid has not yet been submitted. While an event steward from within the barony would be strongly preferred, one person from outside the Barony has contacted Margarette about possibly stewarding the event. The date planned is December 13.

Old Business
Bhakail Sheet Wall for East Kingdom Royal Encampment at Pennsic
Ellyn has acquired fabric and is working on hemming. Margarette will then be transferring the outline of the Bhakail arms to prepare for painting. Stay tuned for new on a painting party.
Officer Position, Chronicler
A letter of intent has been submitted by Beck of Copeland. Additional letters are welcomed, and a vote will be held at the July business meeting.
New Business
Exchequer
Martyn resigned from the position on June 4. Philadelphia is currently acting as emergency exchequer. Martyn was thanked by the Seneschal and all in attendance for his service as Exchequer and all the other service he has provide to the barony over the year. On June 4, Margarette announced on the email list that letters of intent for the position were sought. A letter of intent has been submitted by Ellyn Grene. Additional letters are welcomed, and a vote will be held at the July business meeting.
Chatelaine
Chana’s term as Chatelaine ends in October and the position will be open at that time. Letters of intent are sought from individuals interested in the position. At this time, no letters of intent have been submitted.
