March MOAS Report

Members of the Barony continue to participate in the arts and sciences. In February a virtual class was held on the Introduction to Research If you were unable to make the class, feel free to email me to get a copy of the handout/power point at MOAS@bhakail.eastkingdom.org.

If you are interested in teaching a class in person or virtually, please let me know! I would like to schedule future classes for the barony and friends.

Largess! There is a call for Largess for various gift giving opportunities. Please email me if you are interested donating your time to make things for the Barony to give as Largess.

The entries into the Kingdom A&S Competition and Display are now live on the kingdom MOAS website: https://moas.eastkingdom.org/crowns-arts-sciences-competition-and-display-2023/

There are A&S opportunities at the following local events:

  • March 4, 2023: Nova Schola in Shire of Hartshorn-Dale (Collegeville, PA) a day of classes and learning!
  • March 25, 2023: Mudthaw in Settmour Swamp (Hackettstown NJ), A&S Competition theme: three items for your first sea voyage of spring;
  • April 15-16, 2023: East Kingdom Brewers’ Collegium, Crown Province of Ostgardr (Peekskill, NY) featuring classes for brewers of all skill levels as well as paneling and judging of period brews;
  • April 16, 2023: Service Schola in the Barony of Carillion (South River, NJ) with classes on various volunteer positions in society;
  • April 22, 2023: Waking of the Salamander (Media, PA) camping and outdoor cooking and other arts and science activities!
  • May 13, 2023: Sign of the Dancing Fox, Shire of Nordenhalle (Kingston, NY) Music, Song, Dance, and fox related Arts and science challenges.
  • May 20, 2023: Al-Hafla, Buckland Cross, (Bucks Count PA TBD), Music, Dancing, Game, and food.

There continue to be virtual events throughout the known world.
