Events

PAX

Chana reported that Pax was incredibly successful. The Bhakail booth had a great response. There was lots of help at the booth, and people were interested in all the activities being demonstrated. Many people expressed interest in Tavern, so hopefully some new comers come to Tavern. A document is in the works for planning for next year.

Yule

Yule was fun. The finances have not yet been finalized since the event was just a few days ago, and these should be reported in January. Scolastica suggested that we should have a first aid kit available at all events, and contact information for the chatelaine should be available at troll. No one reported issues with parking this year.

Tavern

Tavern is coming up on January 27, 2024. The insurance has been ordered.

Waking of the Salamander

No bid has yet been submitted, although there is at least one bid rumored to be forthcoming.

Old Business

Baronial Inventory

All of the Bhakail possessions have been gathered in one place and an inventory weekend was held in late November. Margarette has put together an inventory sheet, which is available through a google shared drive accessible to everyone on the Bhakail email list. Some gaps in cooking supplies were noted through the inventory process. Many items that were culled from the inventory were offered for free at Yule. Thank you to Mikael for offering the space for storage.

New Business

Calendar for next year

Mael Eoin has started drafting a planning calendar for 2024, including dates by which event bids are requested and upcoming officer terms end:

  • Bryan’s term as chamberlain ended in October 2023. Letters of intent are being accepted.
  •  There is an open seat on the Council of the Exchequer.
  • The term of the current Seneschal ends in June 2024.
  • Letters of intent for the Baronial seat are due before the March 2024 business meeting.
